Senior Healthcare Support Workers/Nursing Assistants help registered practitioners deliver healthcare services to people.
As an experienced support worker, you carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks, under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. You provide high quality, compassionate healthcare, following standards, policies or protocols and always acting within the limits of your competence.
You need to have or be working towards a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. You could also enter through a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care. Many local education providers offer a variety of qualifications.
We'd love to hear from you. If you'd like to talk to us about apprenticeships and traineeships, email hyp-tr.apprentices@nhs.net
