Fire Safety Manager

THE WORKING DAY

Fire safety managers are responsible for a trust or area and make sure that our patients and staff are as safe as possible from the risk of fire. Fire safety managers manage a team of fire safety officers to ensure all our systems are safe, firefighting equipment is appropriately placed and maintained and that fire doors and escape routes are of the highest standard. You will provide professional advice to all levels of staff and deliver training on all aspects of fire and Health and safety.

  • able to explain simply and clearly
  • good communication skills with people at all levels
  • good planning skills

WHAT'S NEXT?

You will have a proven track record of fire and health and safety management within either the health and care sector or large organisation.

You will need to be qualified to NEBOSH General Diploma or NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Safety or a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and have IOSH or NEBOSH qualification in relation to fire safety
