The Med Shed
What NHS career would suit you?

Deputy Manager

THE WORKING DAY

Join us as a vital support in our care service. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you’ll lead shifts, supervise staff, administer medication, and assist with care planning. In the manager’s absence, take charge, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with legal requirements. Monitor care quality, conduct audits, and facilitate community engagement. Your role is not just a job; it’s a crucial part of delivering excellent and compassionate care.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE ME?

You will have excellent leadership and documentation skills, with the ability to motivate and encourage staff to strive for the highest standards of care.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Deputy Managers often ‘work their way up through positions” and gain experience in the Health and Social Care sector in different roles.

Ideally you will have a relevant qualification in Health and Social Care and be prepared to progress further with your training. Some employers may specify what level qualification they require.
